Macedonia is ranked 30th in the world according to the National Cybersecurity Index – NCSI, which represents a significant improvement of 29 positions compared to the previous ranking from 2023, when the country was in 59th place, VMRO-DPMNE said in a press release Friday.
Scoring a total of 84.17 points, Macedonia ranks among the 30 best-ranked countries out of a total of 155 countries covered by the index, which is prepared by the Estonian Academy for e-Governance.
This result is confirmation that Macedonia is moving in the right direction and that the government led by VMRO-DPMNE is building a serious, organized and systemic approach to cybersecurity.
One of the key steps in that process is the establishment of a new legal framework, which clearly defines the responsibilities of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in the area of network and information systems security, adds the ruling party.
