All mosquito repellents are safe for humans and recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). There are no products that are used that are unsafe and dangerous to human health, Macedonian Health Minister Sasho Klekovski said at a press conference.
Unfortunately, the minister pointed out, due to the reactions of citizens, spraying is often not done at the optimal time.
Regarding the comments that not enough spraying has been done, he said that comparing the spraying so far shows that most of the necessary work has been done.
The optimal time for spraying is dusk, when mosquitoes are most active, and spraying is usually done after most of the activities of people in the settlement have stopped, and here we lose one percent of the effectiveness of spraying. Let me assure the public once again: all the products are recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), there are no products that are dangerous to health. Such products that were used in the past have not been used for a long time. So, in Macedonia, the latest recommendations are respected and the products are not dangerous. Citizens should apply personal protection measures. I responsibly claim the quality of the products and their harmlessness to people,” said Minister Klekovski.
