With the new destinations, Macedonia is becoming more accessible to both citizens and foreign visitors. A total of 28 new destinations have been introduced from the airports in Skopje and Ohrid, VMRO-DPMNE said Sunday.
The ruling party points out that the greatest benefit is to citizens, who now have more direct options for traveling throughout Europe and beyond.
“Direct flights have been introduced from Skopje to Paris, Barcelona, Lyon, Amsterdam, Ljubljana, Madrid, Stockholm, Cologne, Bari, Prague, Larnaca, Naples, Budapest, Alghero and Palermo.
From Ohrid, new flights connect citizens with Istanbul, Basel, Larnaca, Madrid, Stuttgart, Bari, Stockholm, Katowice, Wroclaw, Milan, Bratislava and Vienna.
Better connectivity is also important for the economy. The greater number of direct lines can contribute to the development of tourism, especially in Ohrid, but also to easier connection of domestic companies with foreign partners and markets,” adds the press release.
