It is encouraging that we are the only country in the region with an upward revision of growth projections, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Wednesday, commenting on the World Bank’s North Macedonia Growth and Jobs Report.
“It is encouraging that we are the only country in the region with an upward revision of growth projections. We started the year with a GDP growth projection of 2.6%, which was then adjusted to 2.9%, and yesterday it was raised to 3.2%. However, I am convinced that GDP growth this year will be between 3.5% and 4%, given that it has stood at 3.7% during the first half of the year so far. I expect us to be a country with, if not the absolute lowest, one of the two or three lowest inflation rates in the region and Europe, and to rank among the top five in the region and Europe for GDP growth,” PM Mickoski underlined.
