PM Mickoski: The day will come when opposition leaders will be ashamed of what they’re doing to the country

The day will come when they will be ashamed of what they are doing today to both the citizens and Macedonia, said Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, responding to persistent attacks from the opposition claiming that the government is stalling Macedonia’s EU accession process.

The PM says he tries to avoid commenting on the opposition because he believes its leadership is not engaged in state policy, but rather in personal attacks against him.

“I do not wish to comment on this kind of immature behavior by the opposition leadership. And I will reserve the right not to comment on it. Let me just say this in one sentence: the day will come when they will be ashamed of what they are doing today to both the citizens and Macedonia,” Mickoski said in response to a reporter’s question following the opening of a kindergarten in Skopje’s Shuto Orizari.
