Opposition and Filipche spread lies and fabrications, EC President refuted them by confirming that reforms are underway, says PM Mickoski

Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday evening that the message from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen clearly refuted claims made by the opposition and Filipche that the Government was not implementing reforms.
“The message from the European Commission President was very clear and decisive, refuting what the domestic opposition is saying,” Mickoski said during an interview with Alsat M TV.
Mickoski noted that von der Leyen described the Government’s work as ‘impressive, which, according to him, represents an exceptionally strong positive assessment.
“The EC President says we are doing impressive work, and you will agree that this represents the highest level of praise, and you will also agree that such rhetoric was absent from the other destinations she visited. We are discussing the domestic political scene; the question now is whether this Government is afraid to deliver reforms or not. This confirmation came from the highest level of the EC, the President herself, who, before arriving in Skopje, had visited several other locations but used that specific phrasing, that superlative level of praise, only here, stating that we are doing impressive work regarding reforms. This means the opposition’s lies have been refuted; we are working and implementing reforms,” PM Mickoski pointed out.
