“m.Uslugi” app to be promoted Oct. 28, allowing citizens to store personal documents

The “m.Uslugi” mobile app will be officially promoted on October 28, allowing citizens to store their personal documents, such as an ID card or driver’s license, in digital format on their phones. Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski told national broadcaster MRT on Thursday that the application is safe and free to use, but also not compulsory.
“This is the first step towards a digital wallet. It is free to use and download. It is not compulsory, not everyone needs to download it, but it will offer a series of benefits that the citizens should have already been using as tools and applications,” Andonovski pointed out.
The minister says the app will also be easy to use.
“It will be available to all phone users in Macedonia by simply entering their personal data, which will be retrieved from uslugi.mk, and by entering the ID card number, the ID card will be loaded as well. It is a completely secure application,” Andonovski said.
Regarding the scrapping of roaming charges with the European Union through the country’s inclusion in the Roam Like at Home scheme, Minister Andonovski said the draft text of the agreement has already arrived and has been sent to domestic institutions, which should submit any remarks they have by the end of the week. Andonovski expects the agreement process to be wrapped up by the beginning of 2027.
“We received the draft text of the agreement a few days ago. We have already shared it with colleagues from several ministries to provide their opinions, and from this moment on, formal negotiations based on the text begin. I set a short deadline for feedback from the institutions by the end of the week, so that starting next week we can prepare Macedonia’s remarks for the European Commission, after which we enter talks with them. I expect this to intensify during the autumn and for us to have the agreement by the beginning of 2027,” Andonovski added.
