Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Cvetan Tripunovski told a press briefing Monday that this year there will be increased field control.
“There will be field control because many irregularities have been detected. We are witnesses that there are many abandoned plantations, for which the so-called “subsidy hunters” take state funds, and do not contribute to production,” the minister elaborated.
The minister stressed that such abuse must be put to an end, subsidies, financial support will end with active farmers who live from food production.
According to the minister’s statements, farmers should have delivered a minimum of 30% of their production to purchase centers.
