Digital transformation and strengthening of cooperation in the field of innovations were in the focus of the meeting between Macedonian Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski and Lithuanian Minister of Economy and Innovation EdvinasGrikšas in Vilnius on Monday.
The meeting highlighted that digitalization is one of the key drivers of economic growth, increasing competitiveness and modernization of the public sector. In this context, the interlocutors discussed the Lithuanian experience in connecting innovation, the startup ecosystem, GovTech solutions and public policies, as an important model for accelerating digital transformation.
“We see digital transformation as the basis for economic growth, more competitive companies and more efficient institutions. The Lithuanian experience in connecting innovations, startups, GovTech solutions and public policies is particularly important for Macedonia, as it opens up space for concrete cooperation, knowledge exchange and pilot projects that can yield direct results for citizens and the economy,” Minister Andonovskinoted.
Andonovskiadded that Macedonia sees digital transformation as a strategic process that should bring more efficient public services, better data management, greater interoperability between institutions and stronger support for innovation and new technologies.
