The average monthly net paycheck per employee in January was MKD 46,617, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistics Office (SSO).
This increase is primarily due to the increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Administrative and support service activities by 12.9%, Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles by 11.1% and Manufacturing industry by 10.5%.
A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee, compared to the previous month, was recorded in the sectors: Transport and storage by 7.4%, Construction by 5.3% and Financial and insurance activities by 3.8%.
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in January this year was MKD 70,066.
