Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Thursday that the internal party reorganization was being completed and expected to work on aligning the positions on what the Government will look like in the future as of June. He said that VMRO-DPMNE will come up with its own position, but that it also wants to hear the positions of the other coalition partners. He does not rule out the possibility of other parties joining the government coalition.

Asked whether he has already determined who is not meeting expectations in the Government, Mickoski said that “we have not yet had an in-depth discussion, but we are doing analyses”.

“We are doing an analysis, of course. I personally, but also the people from my cabinet, have some indications, so June is coming, and then we will have more details,” PM Hristijan Mickoski told reporters.

Regarding whether there will be a redistribution of political power across government departments, given that the ZNAM Movement has one fewer MP, Mickoski says that VMRO-DPMNE is conducting analyses and will come up with its own position, but they would also like to hear the positions of the other coalition partners.

“We, as a coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE, will come up with our position in those negotiations, and that position is primarily due to our analyses. We would also like to hear the positions of the other coalition partners and I hope that as a strategic coalition we will continue to successfully lead the Macedonian Government,” Mickoski said.

PM Mickoski does not rule out the possibility of other parties joining the Government coalition. Asked whether it is possible for other parties to join the coalition, Mickoski responded with “Anything is possible.”
