The patient who was transported from Turkey after a severe spinal cord injury is in stable condition, his vital parameters are good and he is out of danger, said the director of the TOARILUC Clinic, Dr. Igor Merdzhanovski.
The doctor informs that the patient is conscious, breathing independently and has already started receiving food naturally, and physical therapy is also underway in the intensive care unit.
“The patient is in good condition. Vital parameters are stable. Yesterday he had an elevated temperature, but all tests performed were negative for infection and it is most likely a reaction to the transport and the previous surgery. As of today, he has started eating by mouth and we have an improvement in his general condition,” the clinic’s director informed.
According to the doctor, the patient is expected to be transferred to the Traumatology Department next week, where intensive rehabilitation will continue, and then to a specialized center for further recovery.
