Macedonian Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski informs that 95 institutions are already connected through the Interoperability Platform. The number of transactions has increased by 130 percent compared to last year, to 3.5 million transactions in July.

“Data should move, not citizens. If the state already has a certain piece of data, there is no reason to ask you for it again at the counter,” Andonovski said in a social media post Wednesday.

The goal, as the minister says, is not only for institutions to be technically connected, but for citizens to feel the difference.

“Less documents; less waiting; less bureaucracy. That is the digitalization that I want to build: for the state to complete the work behind the system, and for the citizen to receive the service,” noted Minister Andonovski.
