Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski held important meetings with John and Jordan Bitoff, as well as with Marco Mendicino, former minister, member of the Parliament of Canada and member of the Government.
“Wonderful meetings with representatives of Macedonia 2025 and their close associates. Friends of Macedonia have always been an important pillar in the support and development of our country.
Within the Macedonia2025 Summit, I had a significant meeting with our long-time friends of Macedonia, John and Jordan Bitove, owners of the largest daily newspaper in Canada, ‘Toronto Star’, as well as with Marco Mendicino, former minister, member of the Parliament of Canada and member of the Government.
The Bitove family plays a leading role in our diaspora, they are responsible for many of Macedonia’s successes from independence to today.
We discussed Macedonia’s economic policies, knowledge exchange, use of digital technologies, support for education, healthcare and institutions.
With joint work and partnership, Macedonia can progress faster and become a stronger and more competitive country,” Deputy Prime Minister Nikoloski said in a social media post.
