Politics is not a competition of promises, but rather a matter of taking responsibility for every decision and every outcome. With this message, the ZNAM Movement for Our Macedonia continued its series of panel discussions in Kichevo on Sunday focused on reporting on the past two years under the motto “Two years of work. Two years of results. One love – Macedonia”.
“At the midpoint of the term, ZNAM presents a comprehensive account of the work of its elected and appointed officials to the citizens, compiled into a dedicated report. Citizens have the right to know what has been accomplished, which commitments have been fulfilled, and what results have been achieved. Accountability is not merely an obligation leading up to elections; it is a daily responsibility toward those who have placed their trust in us,” said the ZNAM Movement leader Maksim Dimitrievski.
He notes that this report is backed by concrete activities and policies designed to bring about changes in the daily lives of citizens, ranging from over 1,200 capital projects in municipalities, the construction and improvement of road infrastructure (including Corridors 8 and 10), to the linear increase in pensions and wage growth across several sectors. Behind the numbers, as he pointed out, there must be tangible results, better living conditions, and greater security for the citizens.
“We do not seek trust based on well-spoken words. Trust is earned through work, decisions, and results that people can recognize. That is why we are among the citizens today, and that is why we will continue to engage in open dialogue and remain accountable for our work. You show your love for Macedonia through actions, and that is precisely how political accountability is demonstrated,” said Dimitrievski.
