Oil is one of the main drivers of agricultural production and last year, in accordance with the annual program, we purchased a significant amount of green oil cards, which, unlike 2024, was increased by 100%, Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Cvetan Tripunovski said Wednesday.
“For this purpose, an agreement of over MKD 500 million was concluded with one of the companies that supplies oil derivatives and the cards were distributed to Macedonian farmers. According to the latest data we have from the Payment Agency, over 80% of this green oil that has been distributed has been used,” said Tripunovski in an interview with Alsat.
The minister added that most or over 80% of the oil was purchased at the previous lower price, because most of the agricultural activities are during the autumn period.
