The FBI has congratulated the Macedonian Cybercrime Unit, part of the Bureau of Public Safety within the Ministry of Interior, on the successful arrest of the administrator of the criminal marketplace OLVX.
OLVX was an illicit online marketplace used for buying and selling stolen personal data, user accounts, and software tools for hacking attacks; it was active between 2023 and 2025.
According to the FBI, operations were conducted via more than 1,500 seller accounts. The existence of this marketplace directly threatened the digital security of thousands of U.S. citizens who rely on the security of their online accounts.
The investigation revealed that the primary administrator of this global criminal marketplace is a young Macedonian national from GolemaRechica, in the Tetovo region.
According to the findings, the online marketplace had been active since July 2023, operating across multiple internet domains. It contained a detailed database of compromised personal data used for registering client and seller accounts, with over 2,600 user accounts and more than 1,500 seller accounts recorded. The total sales value of the items exceeds 500,000 US dollars.
