Companies of the FEROINVEST group this year realized their largest corn harvest so far on the agricultural lands in the Ovchepolie, with the best results since the beginning of agricultural production in these locations, both in terms of yield per hectare and in terms of quality.
The harvest was realized on an area of about 250 hectares, on the agricultural lands of Saramzalino Agrar, Erdzelija Poljodelstvo and Agria. A drip irrigation system has been installed on the areas, which allows for more efficient and controlled use of water and the creation of better conditions for agricultural production.
Despite the difficult weather conditions during the season, the achieved results are more than 20 percent better than last year.
The produced corn silage is used as raw material for the Bioenterprise biogas power plant in Saramzalino, Lozovo municipality, where biogas and electricity are produced through an anaerobic fermentation process.
