Former Deputy PMGrubi pleads not guilty in State Lottery case

The prosecution charges Grubi, Bajrami and members of the supervisory board with joint actions to the detriment of State Lottery

At the second hearing in the State Lottery case, the prosecution presented the indictment and the actions it charges against former First Deputy Prime Minister ArtanGrubi and the other defendants.

The prosecution explained in detail to the court the roles that, according to the indictment, the defendants had during 2023 and 2024, each from the position they held in the Government, State Lottery or its Supervisory Board.

The indictment includes the former CEO of the State Lottery, PrparimBajrami, the former Secretary General of the Government, MetodijaDimovski, the former First Deputy Prime Minister ArtanGrubi, as well as the former President of the Supervisory Board, SkenderMehmeti, and members BojanJanev, FatmirRamadanovski, AleksandarDimitrioski, and BashkimAvdi.

The prosecution claims that the defendants, within the framework of their various functions and authorities, jointly undertook actions to the detriment of the State Lottery.

A significant part of the indictment presented to the court concerns the procedure for independently organizing electronic games of chance and the procurement of video lottery terminals.
