The funds provided through a short-term loan from M-NAV, MEPSO, the State Lottery and from the Public Enterprise for State Roads (PESR)’s own sources will be used to service liabilities to a Chinese bank related to the construction of the highways, and during August they will be returned to the companies, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Sunday.
Responding to a reporter’s question about the purpose of the funds, Mickoski pointed out that it was not just a loan from M-NAV.
“It is not just from MNAV, there we also have funds from the State Lottery, MEPSO and PESR’s own funds. The funds will be used to repay the loan to the Chinese bank for the motorway and those same funds will be returned to the companies in August,” said PM Mickoski.
