The Government has its own formula for calculation of wages of in the public sector. Most of the union representatives have agreed to this Government position, with a few exceptions. The formula includes a gradual increase of their wages, not just the amount of the minimum wage increase, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told reporters on Wednesday.
The PM noted that the unions were offered a formula by which personal incomes for employees in the administration would be calculated, while emphasizing that the Government insists that if it is agreed, this should be the final formula by which the wages of public sector employees would be paid.
PM Mickoski pointed out that in the talks, part of the SSM leadership is referring to the general collective agreement that the union signed with the previous government, which, although it has expired, the transitional and final provisions state that it is in effect until a new collective agreement is signed.
