The country’s Health Insurance Fund (HIF) announced that this month it paid out over MKD 560 million for sick leave benefits – the largest portion of the funds for maternity leave and that it continues with continuous and timely payment of salary benefits based on temporary incapacity for work (sick leave payments).
As of Tuesday, although the month is not yet over, as indicated, the Fund paid out a total of MKD 560.9 million for sick leave benefits, of which: MKD 420.3 million for maternity leave benefits and MKD 140.6 million for other types of sick leave.
The payments were made according to the following dynamics: from July 1 to 23, MKD 111 million were paid for maternity leave and MKD 93.5 million for other sick leave, on July 24, MKD 25 million for maternity leave and MKD 24 million for other sick leave, on July 27, MKD 198 million for maternity leave and MKD 17.7 million for other sick leave, and on July 28, MKD 86.3 million for maternity leave and MKD 5.4 million for other sick leave.
According to the Insurance Fund, this is the highest amount paid in one month for maternity leave benefits.
