In the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, construction recorded growth of almost 22% compared to the same period last year. Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport AleksandarNikoloski today, answering a media question, stresses that this is an exceptionally high growth that is not a phenomenon only for the second quarter of this year, but has been a continuity since last year.
Nikoloski pointed out that as a government, they set the base in 2024, they set the projects and from 2025 we see strong growth in construction.
“Each quarter is far above what was the average before. This is the historically highest quarter, total completed works add up toEUR 242 million in just three months compared to the same period last year, growth is around 22 percent. Construction is truly becoming the main driver of the economy,”Nikoloskinoted
