The State Statistics Office’s data, released today regarding the July 2026 inflation level compared to July 2025 is yet another indicator reaffirming the policies created and implemented by the government and suggests stabilisation of economic trends and maintaining of positive trends in the economy, Macedonian Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska said Friday.
According to the latest SSO data, inflation continues its downward trend and in July amounted to 2.3 percent annually. In April 2026, inflation on an annual basis amounted to 5.7 percent, in May 4.8 and in June 3.4 percent.
A slowdown in price growth has also been observed on a monthly basis in almost all categories of products and services, with the exception of transport.
“This is another encouraging signal for economic developments. In addition to the decrease in inflation, exports, industrial production and employment are growing, which indicates that economic policies are yielding results. This is also confirmed by the growth in tax revenues in the Budget as of July 31, 2026. We will continue to carefully monitor economic developments and create measures that are in the interest of citizens, to protect the standard of living and to further strengthen the Macedonian economy,” FinMin Dimitrieska-Kochoska said in a social media post.
