Ten suspects have been detained as part of the investigation into the five tons of cannabis discovered in Serbia. This afternoon, the people were brought before a judge for preliminary proceedings and some of them were remanded in custody, Macedonian Minister of Interior Pance Toshkovski told TV 21 in an interview Thursday evening.
They are suspected of having participated in the transport of cannabis from Macedonia to Serbia. Interior Minister Toshkovski shared details of the investigation during his TV interview.
“Criminal charges have been filed with the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Organized Crime and Corruption against ten people suspected of involvement in illegal production and distribution of narcotic drugs. Two of the suspects are placed under 48-hour detention, and the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Interior in coordination with the Prosecutor’s Office is also related to the drugs found in Serbia,” said Minister Toshkovski.
