The Macedonian Government has come out with a clear position regarding Dalibor Kitanovikj’s statements about Ratko Mladić. The Government says that their position is based on internationally established legal facts.

“Ratko Mladić has been legally convicted of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes by the competent international court,” the Government told TV21.

They therefore emphasize that Kitanovikj’s position is his personal position and that as such it is unacceptable for the Government.

“The Government builds positions based on the interest of the state and citizens. When such a position is built, then it is respected by all individuals in the Government,” the Government told TV21.

The Government adds that voluntarism is unacceptable and announces that Kitanovik will be asked to retract his position. Otherwise, if he does not agree with the Government’s policies, the Government expects Kitanovikj to resign from his post.

The current director of the Agency for the Realization of the Rights of Communities, Dalibor Kitanovikj, published a scandalous post praising the late war criminal Ratko Mladić. The post appeared on his Instagram account after the death of the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska, who died in The Hague while serving a life sentence.

Kitanovikj published a photo composition, apparently created with artificial intelligence, in which Mladić is depicted together with several figures from Serbian history. Among them is the Chetnik commander Draža Mihajlović, and wrote in capital letters: “Generals of the Heavenly Army”. Thus, the murderer of Srebrenica is placed among figures presented as national heroes and mythical protectors of the Serbian people.
