On Monday evening in the Gevgelija village of Bogorodica on the border with Greece, police officers from the Bogorodica Police Station for Border Surveillance and Border Checks arrested 59-year-old R.S. from Latvia for trafficking.
“During a control in a passenger vehicle “Fiat Tipo” with Skopje license plates, which he was driving, ten migrants from Egypt were found. The migrants are accommodated in the VinojugReception Transit Center in Gevgelija,” the Ministry of Interior (MoI) informed.
The suspect was handed over to the Gevgelija Police Station and after the case is fully documented, an appropriate report will be filed against him.
