With amendments to the Law on Electronic Communications, which have been submitted for discussion by the Single National Register of Regulations (ENER), the country is transposing the necessary European regulations into domestic legislation, which will allow it to join the European Union’s “Roam Like Home” initiative. This will allow citizens and businesses to use mobile services in EU countries without additional roaming costs, as if they were at home.
Comments on the legal amendments, whose bearer is the Ministry of Digital Transformation, can be submitted to ENER for another four days.
At the Leaders’ Summit with the Western Balkan countries on the Growth Plan held on June 30 and July 1, 2025, the European Commission formally announced that it would begin a procedure to find a legal solution that would allow the countries of the region to join the “Roam Like Home” initiative.
