Macedonian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs BekimSali presented progress in the implementation of the 2024-2027 Reform Agenda at a meeting on Monday with the ambassadors of EU member states serving in the country.

A positive assessment is expected for 16 out of a total of 21 submitted reform steps, which would enable the release of financial support of approx. EUR 70 million.

Progress was highlighted in key areas such as public finance management, energy transition, human capital and business environment, which contribute to better governance and alignment with EU standards. It was also emphasized that there are still some challenges, especially in the area of complex legal reforms and steps within the grace period. The Government is intensifying coordination and cooperation with the European Commission.

“The reform agenda means concrete results for citizens and strengthening trust in institutions,” said Deputy PMSali.
