The Serbian police have arrested a Macedonian citizen (J. G.) in Priboj, on suspicion of entering Serbia as the perpetrator of a contract killing.
During his stay in Serbia, he also used fake documents of the Republic of Serbia, which were in the name of P. A. – several Serbian media outlets reported.
According to media reports, the suspect was allegedly linked to the Kavach clan and is being investigated in connection with a previous assassination attempt. Allegations of his connection to a previous assassination attempt on Marko Ljubisha – Kan in Budva are also being investigated.
The authorities are investigating how the suspect entered Serbia, who gave him forged documents and whether he had helpers on the territory of Priboj. Allegations that he received a significant amount of money to carry out the planned liquidation are also being investigated.
J. G. has been ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours. After that period, with criminal charges, he will be brought to the competent Prosecutor’s Office, which will decide on further actions.
