We have resolved the property-legal issues at the Momin Potok interchange and enabled work to resume, with a completion deadline set for New Year’s. Boris Trajkovski Boulevard, a project promised for three decades, is nearing completion. The route near the General Mihajlo Apostolski bridge is being cleared, and we have also advanced the project for the Ljubljanska bridge. We have completed the first phase of Macedonia Boulevard and are soon entering the second, moving us closer to realizing Skopje’s first underground roadway, Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski said Wednesday at the Macedonian-Austrian Business Forum held at the Chamber of Commerce.
As Gjorgjievski noted, every completed roadway, every connected bridge, and every resolved infrastructure issue means a better daily life for citizens and greater opportunities for the business sector.
“Behind these investments lie safer journeys, lower costs for companies, and more time spent with family. Behind every project set in motion lie problems resolved, responsibility assumed, and on-the-ground work. Our obligation is to ensure these projects become functional solutions that citizens use every day. At the same time, we are investing in streets, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and lighting across all Skopje municipalities. Development must be felt in each neighborhood and in front of every home,” the capital’s mayor pointed out.
