The head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, Islam Abazi, who works for Filipche, Zaev and Ahmeti, i.e. for SDS and DUI, issued a controversial order to halt the investigation into the case related to the procurement of fuel oil for the needs of the TPP Negotino, worth EUR 167 million. Islam Abazi, Ali Ahmeti’s friend from Zajas, is serving his assigned position as head of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and at the direction of Filipche, Ahmeti and Zaev, issued a decision to stop a court proceeding in which suspects, among others, were the SDS member and fugitive from justice Vasko Kovachevski, and the son of a DUI MP Asmir Jahoski and Ratko Kapushevski, VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski told a press briefing Tuesday.
“The entire public in this scandalous case saw money laundering, crime and environmental poisoning, only Islam Abazi saw nothing. The procedure has been stopped. The fugitive is free. Trust in the judiciary from 2 percent, with prosecutors like Islam Abazi will fall to 1 percent. A few hours ago we learned that the procedure against Vasko Kovachevski and others for the purchase of fuel oil has been stopped. The prosecution says they had no evidence, but isn’t Vasko Kovachevski’s escape proof or a strong indication that the suspect is fleeing justice?,” said the ruling party MP.
“Kovachevski is not in Macedonia. He fled at the end of 2024 and has not been available to law enforcement agencies since. And instead of this being an additional clue and motive for the Prosecution to conduct this case, for Prosecutor Abazi it became a solution to close this case. There is no defendant present, there is no procedure being conducted, especially not if they belong to Islam Abazi’s sponsors. This is the tragic scheme according to which are working the remnants of the SDS and DUI-led government in the judiciary and prosecution,” said Miloshoski.
