Today we will present two pieces of information that indicate the closeness of prosecutor Kolarevikj, maiden name Markova, to the SDS and DUI parties. Kolarevikj’s father, Pavle Markov, was elected state attorney by the SDS government in 1998. Prosecutor Kolarevic’s mother, Vera Markova, was elected constitutional judge by the SDS and DUI coalition in 2004. These family careers of the parents in the Kolarevikj family are firmly connected to the political nominations of the SDS governments, VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski told a press briefing Sunday.
“The question is whether that is why Prosecutor Kolarevikj, for suspects such as Vasko Kovachevski, Adrian Mucha, Asmir Jahoski and others close to Ahmeti, Zaev and Filipche, did not act with a motive to reveal the truth, but with a motive to cover up the “Mazut” case. Prosecutor Kolarevikj, who is close to SDS and DUI, knows well that in economic crimes, such as the case of TPP Negotino, the damage is determined by economic expertise, and not by a statement given by an incompetent or bribed witness or employee of the ESM.
Such selective treatment gives a privileged position to the suspects Vasko Kovachevski, Adrian Mucha, Asmir Jahoski and others, and degrades the rule of law. And the ESM itself clearly states in a statement that those who were examined in the procedure were neither responsible persons nor competent persons to assess damage and determine economic crime involving fuel oil in the TPP Negotino.
However, with the termination of the investigation into this 167 million euro scandal with strong indications of money laundering and tender crime, it becomes clear that the decision of Abazi and Kolarevikj is not supported by legal and prosecutorial arguments, but is probably well lubricated with overpriced fuel oil. In order for us to have the rule of law and for trust in the judiciary to be greater than 2%, prosecutors should also be subject to professional, disciplinary, and even criminal liability, when there is evidence for it.
Did Kolarevikj as a prosecutor, due to her own interests and directions from Islam Abazi, who is close to DUI, which come from the top of SDS and DUI, i.e. from Ahmeti, Zaev and Filipche, stop the procedure for this case worth EUR 167 million? Miloshoski asked.
The public has the right to know, and the Council of Public Prosecutors’ duty is to deal with the professional or unprofessional work of prosecutors Abazi and Kolarevikj, MP Miloshoski added.
