An international arrest warrant has been issued for 23-year-old Iva Mihailova of Kochani, daughter of Simeon and Hristina, the Ministry of Interior said Tuesday.
The warrant was issued at the request of the Kochani Court for charges under Article 300, Paragraph 4, and Article 297, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
Mihailova, who is on trial for a fatal traffic accident, recently fled to Bulgaria. The young woman, who also holds Bulgarian citizenship, appeared in Bulgarian media, prompting authorities to confirm that she crossed the border illegally.
Although the Kochani court had seized her passports and banned her from leaving the country, she violated these measures, leading a judge to issue a 30-day detention order that will take effect once she is arrested.
