The Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) says that in between February 2, 2026 and Augusut 20, 2026, a total of 310,865 violations were recorded in the ‘Safe City’ system, most of which relate to driving a vehicle at a speed greater than the permitted speed.
Regarding violations committed by vehicles with foreign license plates, in the period since the start of operation of the Safe City’ system, a total of 180,378 violations were registered, while in the period from August 19,2026 to August 20, 2026, 5,514 violations were registered by vehicles with foreign license plates.
