The police have resolved the case involving the burning of the Macedonian flag, an incident recorded and posted on the TikTok profile of a 14-year-old teenager from Tetovo.

According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the video was discovered on September 22 during social media monitoring. The Ministry stated that the content constituted the criminal offense of causing hatred, discord, or intolerance based on national, religious, or other discriminatory grounds, an act defined and punishable under Article 319, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

The identity of the profile owner was established on September 23, and an official interview was conducted with the minor at the police station in the presence of a parent and representatives from the Tetovo Center for Social Work. The minor admitted to the act.
