The Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced Sunday afternoon that yesterday’s murder in Vinica has been solved, and the murder suspect is a Greek national (80). A total of four people have been arrested.
The victim, whose body was found Saturday afternoon near the Vinica city cemetery, is D.A. (56) from the village of Lipec near Vinica. The police arrested I.L. (24), G.P. (80), S.R. (55) all from Greece and S.Z. (57) from the village of Zhabeni near Bitola.
Searches were carried out in the vehicles that the individuals were driving and in the apartments in Vinica where the individuals were staying. During the searches, four hunting rifles and around 800 pieces of hunting ammunition, as well as other evidence, were found and seized.
Murder charges will be filed against G.P. (80) from Greece.
