The Government is implementing the public call ‘Support for the creation of new jobs’, intended for Macedonian companies that plan to expand their operations through new employment. Within the first sub-measure “Employment and growth of legal entities”, financial support is envisaged for the creation of a total of 1,385 new jobs.
This was announced today at a press conference by VMRO-DPMNE MP Biljana Kuzmanoska, who noted that MKD 332.65 million, or EUR 5.4 million, have been provided for this measure.
According to the terms of the call, one company will be able to receive financial support for the employment of up to five people, and the amount of the grant will depend on the category of the unemployed.
The highest amount of MKD 250,000 is envisaged for the employment of young people up to 29 years of age. For beneficiaries of guaranteed minimum assistance, Roma, people with disabilities, women, long-term unemployed and Roma women with completed secondary or higher education, the support amounts to MKD 220,000 per employee. For unemployed people older than 29 years, the grant is MKD 160,000. As a novelty in the measure, Kuzmanoska indicated that the employment of returnees will be additionally stimulated, with employers receiving an additional 10 percent above the basic amount of the approved grant for each employed returnee.
