The ZNAM MP group, with the support of the majority of MPs, forwarded a bill to amend the Law on Road Traffic Safety via fast-track procedure, which stipulates that a driver who holds a category B driving license will have the right to drive motorcycles with an automatic transmission of category A1, whose engine capacity does not exceed 125cc and whose engine power does not exceed 11 kW, and the ratio of engine power to vehicle mass does not exceed 0.1 kW/kg.
“This bill provides that a driver who holds a category B driving license will have the right to drive a motorcycle with an automatic transmission in category A1 in line with EU regulations, after reaching the age of 23, holding a category B driving license for at least five years, and attending a 4-hour theoretical training course on motorcycle safety in a driving school, which is valid only on the territory of the country,” said MP Pavle Arsovski at a press conference.
