One person suffered minor burns in the fire that broke out today between the villages of Dolani and Ljuboten, in the municipality of Shtip, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) informed Sunday.
The Emergency Medical Services team immediately intervened and the person was provided with appropriate medical assistance. According to information so far, there are no other injured people.
After the report of a fire in the area of the village of Dolani, the Municipality of Shtip Territorial Firefighting Unit immediately intervened with two teams.
The fire broke out between the villages of Dolani and Ljuboten. From the side towards the village of Dolani, protective belts were plowed with the help of tractors, after which the fire was brought under control and extinguished, without the risk of its spreading to the settlement.
Currently, the fire is spreading in the direction of the village of Ljuboten, where dry grass, low-stemmed trees and pine forest are burning.
“One fire engine, three fire jeeps and 10 firefighters, one work vehicle (skip) from the PE Stipion – Shtip, four tractors, as well as police and emergency medical teams are engaged in extinguishing and localizing the fire,” said the CMC in its report.
