Over 60 million kilograms of spring cabbage have been purchased so far, almost 9 million kilograms more compared to last year, Macedonian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Cvetan Tripunovski said in an interview on Sunday.
“The first spring crop that enters the purchase process, that is, marketing, is spring cabbage. This crop is produced the most in the Strumica region. What I have as the latest data is that from January 1 to today, somewhere over 60 million kilograms have been purchased, which is about 8-9 million kilograms more compared to the same period last year. This is proof that production is growing,” Tripunovski told “Agrar”.
The minister adds that the process of purchasing spring cabbage is still ongoing, but is already entering its final phase.
