Medical cannabis was just a front for organized crime and illegal drug trafficking. About 30 tons or about 70% of the confiscated cannabis is from the CBD Medplant company based in Novo Selo, close and connected to Zaev, Filipche and SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE MP Brane Petrushevski said Tuesday.
“The founder of this company is Hristijan Kotev, son of Toni Kotev, known by the nickname M’gchev, a person close to Zoran Zaev and former head of the SDSM municipal board in Novo Selo, and he obtained the license during Zaev and Filipche led the government. Everyone knows how licenses were issued for the production of medical cannabis during the time of SDSM, Zaev and Filipche. The most important condition that interested parties had to meet was to be close to SDSM, Zoran Zaev and Venko Filipche,” said Petrushevski.
According to the ruling party MP, this can be concluded from, as he says, Zaev and Filipche’s panicked reactions, where one of them appears with an unclear reaction on social media, and according to information, he was interested and personally reported about the five seized tons of marijuana, while Filipche headed for the southern border in panic.
“Is Filipche’s trip to Greece only at the request of Zaev? Did they have a meeting and what was discussed at it? The Public Prosecutor’s Office must investigate all these clues and mutual connections of Zaev and Filipche with the smuggling of medical cannabis. No matter how many people there are under the control of SDS, Zaev and Filipche must rise up, get over themselves, act in accordance with the law and investigate the entire case – how were the licenses issued, who produced all the cannabis and why instead of for medical purposes, we see that it ended up on the black market,” said Petrushevski and urged the Public Prosecutor’s Office (PPO) to investigate the case.
