In the past two years, starting from Q3 2024, ending with Q2 2026, the Government has created 17,000 new jobs, from 691,000 employees to 708,000 employees, unlike the previous government, which did not open as many new jobs in seven years, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday during his visit to Berovo.
Responding to a reporter’s question after visiting the Dormition of Holy Mother of God monastery, Mickoski says that he expects that number to grow with the opening of data centers and to enable the return of young people who left the country.
“Two or three days ago, the State Statistical Office came out with a figure: this government, in the past two years, starting from the third quarter of 2024, ending with the second quarter of this 2026, has created 17,000 new jobs. We went from 691,000 employees to 708,000 employees. If you turn that into numbers, you will realize that the previous government has not created so many new jobs in seven years,” the Prime Minister underscored.
