Our position is clear and unchanged – there is no price that can make me, as prime minister, join such an adventure that has no definitive end, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated Wednesday commenting on yesterday’s visit of the European Conc President António Costa, who said that constitution amendments have to be passed before negotiations with the EU are launched.
“During these 26 years we have been promised many times for concessions, but also that the positions of our neighbor regarding this issue are becoming radicalized,” noted Mickoski and urged the citizens to unite around the Government’s position on this issue.
“We have built a sincere relationship with Mr. Costa. That does not mean that we always agree. One of the topics we disagree on is exactly the one you are talking about today. Our position is clear and unchanged. In other words, let me once again: there is no price that will force us to join an adventure without knowing that that adventure will have a definitive end. There is no price that can force me, as the Prime Minister, to join such an adventure, and in which there will be no definitive end,” PM Mickoski pointed out.
