PM Mickoski on snap elections: Anything’s possible, never say never

In an interview with TV21, Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski addressed the possibility of snap elections. He noted that it was indeed possible, one should “never say never”, but emphasized that the Government was working toward a full four-year term, even though VMRO-DPMNE, as a party, was always prepared for elections.

PM Mickoski added that in politics, one should “never say never”—a common mistake individuals make, and that one should always keep the door slightly ajar regarding any policy.

“What I want to say, and what I am saying, is that this Government has a four-year term. For instance, we are discussing whether the average wage could reach MKD 60,000 by the end of this term. My answer is: maybe, maybe not, but we will do everything in our power to get as close as possible to that 60,000-denar mark. So, while we are always prepared for elections as a political party, we are working toward a full four-year term, a term for which we received legitimacy from the citizens,” PM Mickoski pointed out.
