The Skopje-based Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office has filed an indictment against a member of the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski’s security guard, for physically assaulting his wife in front of their underage daughter.
According to the allegations in the indictment, the suspect, after a previous verbal argument in their family home, physically assaulted the injured party, hitting her in the face and head in front of their underage daughter, after which he grabbed her by the neck and began to strangle her. The suspect’s actions caused the injured party bodily injuries and psychological distress.
The injured party managed to take refuge in the toilet, and later, while she was trying to leave the house with the child, the defendant took away and damaged her mobile phone. Together with her daughter, they sought help from a neighbor, who took them into her home.
The indictment also included a proposal to extend the detention measure due to flight risk.
