The Macedonian Public Revenue Office (PRO) warns that citizens are receiving fake SMS messages today, purportedly from the PRO, containing the following statement:” PRO Reminder: Your social security account status is abnormal. We recommend resolving the issue as soon as possible,” accompanied by a link.
This is a scam; do not click on the links, the PRO warns.
“If you receive this message, DO NOT OPEN THE LINK and do not enter personal, banking, or other sensitive data. This message may be an attempt at fraud and the misuse of personal and financial information,” reads the urgent announcement.
The Public Revenue Office (PRO) reminds citizens to verify all information related to the PRO exclusively through the agency’s official channels—specifically the official website (www.ujp.gov.mk), official e-services, and officially published contact addresses and telephone numbers.
