But let us explain it clearly to Makso and the people: Dragan Mitevski, Maksim Dimitrievski’s godfather, bought land from Maksim and his family for EUR 250,000 euros overnight, the opposition SDSM said Saturday.
According to the opposition party, just a few days later, he sold the same land to the chain supermarket Lidl for EUR 600,000. With zero investment, he earned EUR 350,000 in pure profit. Then, he authorized the buyers to conduct a procedure for changing the DUP with his family friend – Mayor Maksim Dimitrievski. Yesterday, with a decision of the Council, this was fully realized.
“This is not business. This is a classic example of corruption and abuse of office. Maksim Dimitrievski, a former anti-corruption member known for tenders involving the Post Office, makes quick and profitable transactions through his godfather, and then uses his position to secure a change to the urban plan,” SDSM said in a press release Saturday.
