MP and former Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski believes that the main opposition party SDSM must honestly and thoroughly analyze the reasons for the decline in trust among citizens, if it wants to regain their support.
“Some will say that the coalition partner (DUI) was a factor, and that is true. But I think that we ourselves – through personnel policy and certain decisions that were made – influenced this utcome. What was missing most was justice, greater reform in the judicial system and a different way of functioning. Citizens expected this after the collapse of the previous regime, and great expectations always result in great disappointments,” said Spasovski.
The opposition MP also criticized the entire political system in the country, assessing that all parties are facing the problem of clientelism, which brings short-term political benefits, but in the long term creates enormous damage to the country.
