Secondary police education reintroduced after 26 years: MoI issues public call for 200 students

The Macedonian Ministry of Interior (MoI) has issued a public call for admission of 200 students to the new state Secondary Police School – Police Academy “May 7” for the 2026/2027 school year. With this decision, after a break of 26 years, secondary police education is being resumed in the country. The last generation of such personnel graduated in 2000 at the then “Elisie Popovski-Marko” Center.

The new generation will be educated under the motto “Wear the uniform with pride!”. The classes will be held within the MoI Training Center in Idrizovo, where the students will follow vocational and general education classes and will stay in a boarding school. A great advantage of this competition is that after successfully completing the four-year education and the state matriculation exam, the Ministry of Interior provides all graduates with a secure job as police officers.

Students who have already completed the second year of any four-year secondary school in the country have the right to enroll.
